A fire recording, not a musical track
This player uses a 20-second excerpt of “Fireplace 1” by Joseph SARDIN. The file is prepared to repeat, with no music added by AmbientBlend. Crackles are events in the recording, so they do not remain at one unchanging level.
Listen to the details before blending
Begin with the fireplace alone and a comfortable Volume. If a recurring crackle is more prominent than you want, lower the level. A timer can finish a fireside listening session without changing the recording itself.
For rain outside and a fire inside, try the dedicated Rain and fireplace page. Its two sliders make it easier to balance the layers than using Master Volume alone.
Fireplace, wind or rain?
Rain adds a fuller weather background, while wind adds a changing air texture. Neither is part of the original fireplace recording: these are separate recordings mixed together.
Use the full mixer if you want to try your own combination. Its link carries the current fireplace level, opens paused and keeps your previous saved mixes available.

Recordings & sources
The player repeats the short audio files below for as long as your session runs. The loop length is the length of each file, not a limit on listening time. Events within a recording may repeat.
| Sound | Loop | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Fireplace | 20 s Mono | Joseph SARDIN Field recording · CC0 |
Start at a comfortable level. The volume percentages describe player settings; they do not measure the sound level at your ears. Playback with a locked screen or a background tab depends on your device and browser. Opening another page stops playback.
Common questions
Can I play fireplace sounds without music?
AmbientBlend adds no music to the prepared fireplace recording. The source and preparation notes are linked below so you can see which file is being played.
Can I add rain to the fireplace sound?
Yes. Open the Rain and fireplace page to balance both recordings with separate sliders, or add Rain in the full mixer. The two sounds come from independent recordings.
Is this a continuous recording of a long fire?
No. A 20-second prepared excerpt repeats. You can set a timer or leave playback running, subject to your browser and device.
