Listening guide

Waves have a rhythm of their own

Ocean sounds change as each wave arrives and recedes. That movement is different from the continuous texture of generated noise. This player repeats a 30-second excerpt of “Sea waves” by DenisChardonnet; it is a recorded scene, not a live shore feed.

Choose waves alone or waves with wind

Start with Waves if you want to hear the recording on its own. Waves and wind adds a separate wind recording. Its two sliders let you bring the wind forward or keep it behind the water.

Change a choice while paused to prepare it silently. If you are already listening, the player changes to the new combination. Use Pause before changing if you want to compare from silence.

Using ocean sounds at bedtime

Set a sleep timer if you want the session to end. Try the sound at a low level in your actual room before leaving it running. If repeating wave events draw your attention, compare rain or a continuous noise texture instead.

Background audio can be interrupted by a locked screen, another app or your browser. The timer is a session control, not a guarantee of all-night playback.

Recordings & sources

The player repeats the short audio files below for as long as your session runs. The loop length is the length of each file, not a limit on listening time. Events within a recording may repeat.
